Elinor Chapman

Elinor graduated with an honours degree in Law with French before pursuing a diploma in Performance and Vocal Studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Since then, she has performed many operatic roles including Adina (L'Elisir d'Amore), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), Oscar (Ballo in Maschera), Flora (Turn of the Screw), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Malwina (The Vampire) for companies such as Kentish Opera, Unexpected Opera and Duchy Opera. Most recently Elinor sang L'Allegro in Handel's L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed Il Moderato.

Oratorio solo work includes Mozart's Requiem and Exsultate Jubilate, Handel's Judas Maccabeus, Vivaldi's Gloria, Haydn's Little Organ Mass and The Seasons, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Bach's Wachet Auf, Ruft uns die Stimme.

As a concert soloist, Elinor has performed at many venues around the UK, including St James's Piccadilly and Bristol, Durham and Southwark Cathedrals. She has twice toured China as soprano soloist with the Kent Sinfonia and has toured as far afield as New Zealand. Elinor now performs regularly with early music group The Heinichen Ensemble.

Future engagements include: Haydn's Nelson Mass, Barber's Knoxville Summer of 1915 , Handel's Israel in Egypt and Mahler's 4th Symphony.
