Countertenors, Voces8 Soloists
Christopher Wardle

Christopher is a member of Voces8 Soloists and is only available to book as one of 4 or more soloists from the group.

Christopher Wardle began singing as a chorister in Crowborough, East Sussex.  As a boy treble he was a finalist in the National Choirboy of the Year competition, and sang in Peter Sellers' groundbreaking production of Die Zauberflöte at Glyndebourne.

Following 'A'-levels at The King's School Peterborough he studied music at Exeter University while singing as a countertenor choral scholar in Exeter Cathedral Choir. After graduation he took up a singing post at Guildford Cathedral which he combined with an administrative post at the Royal School of Church Music in Dorking, Surrey.

In January 2007 Christopher joined the award-winning a cappella octet Voces8 and now pursues a freelance singing career, touring and singing regularly with a number of cathedral and chapel choirs in and around London and beyond.

Recent solo engagements include Handel Messiah, Bach St Matthew Passion and Bernstein Chichester Psalms, while plans include recording and touring new programmes with Voces8 following the release of the group's successful album 'Evensong'.
