David is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge where he performed both as a cellist and singer. He continued to sing with a number of choirs while pursuing a career in the computer industry before moving full-time in January 2000 to the music profession.
David studied with Lesley-Jane Rogers and with Neil Mackie, Head of Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music.
David is currently a Tenor Lay Clerk at Guildford Cathedral undertaking a busy schedule of services, concerts and recordings. He has performed on Classic FM, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3 and appeared on recordings by the Royal Philharmonic and BBC Concert Orchestras. David is a regular soloist with choirs and choral societies throughout the UK and abroad. Concert venues in 2009 have included Greece, France, New York and Washington DC.
David's recent concert engagements have included Bach St John Passion (Evangelist) and Magnificat, Britten St Nicolas, Gounod Messe Solennelle de Sainte Cecile, Haydn The Creation, Handel Messiah and Dettingen Te Deum, Kodaly Missa Brevis, Monteverdi Vespers of 1610, Mozart C Minor Mass and Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Rossini Petit Messe Solennelle, Vaughan Williams On Wenlock Edge and Hodie.
He is also the Musical Director of the Farley Singers, a Berkshire Chamber Choir.
