Elinor Chapman

Elinor graduated with an honours degree in Law with French before pursuing a diploma in Performance and Vocal Studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Since then, she has performed various operatic roles including Giannetta (L'Elisir d'Amore), Mercedes (Carmen), Diana (cover) and Venus (Orpheus in the Underworld) all for Kentish Opera, Adele (Fledermaus) and The Bride (The Wedding - A Street Opera) for Unexpected Opera, Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), Oscar (Ballo in Maschera), Flora (Turn of the Screw), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and Malwina in Duchy Opera's "The Vampire" which received critical acclaim in Opera magazine. In Summer 2013 Elinor covered the role of Susanna (Marriage of Figaro) for NCO.

As a concert soloist, Elinor has performed at many venues around the UK, including St James's Piccadilly and Bristol, Durham and Southwark Cathedrals. Oratorio solo work includes Mozart's Requiem and Exultate Jubilate, Handel's Judas Maccabeus and Vivaldi's Gloria. She has toured China as soprano soloist with the Kent Sinfonia in both January 2012 and January 2013, and has twice toured as far afield as New Zealand.
